Independent game studio
We design, test and develop our own games.
OnPixel is an independent game studio. Our first game Cards Rumble: Clash of Elements is out now on Steam: a 1v1 strategy game built on three elements, 30 cards and two paths to victory. We are working on new projects.

What we do
We build a game as a whole, not piece by piece.
When a rule changes, so do the information the player sees, the way the interface responds and what a card means on the table. That is why we treat game design, visual language and development as three parts of the same decision.
-
01
SYSTEM
We set the rules
We define how a round resolves, how a match is won and which decision each game mode puts in focus.
-
02
WORLD
We make it readable
We design the cards, the interface and the motion not just to look good, but to give the player the right information at the right moment.
-
03
BUILD
We play and revisit
We test the rules in prototypes and rework anything that is unclear or unnecessary. We released Cards Rumble on PC and Steam first; mobile is also in our plans.

Cards Rumble:
Clash of Elements
In Cards Rumble, every card has an element and a value. When different elements meet, the Fire → Venom → Ice → Fire cycle decides the result; within the same element the higher value wins. If element and value are equal, there is no winner and play continues.
A match is won by the player who takes three wins with the same element, or one win each with Fire, Ice and Venom. Quick Play focuses on a constantly refreshed hand, 5 Draw on planning with five cards, and Elemental Draw on two random rules that last the whole match.
